What distractions!
Part way through Dad's presentation, 14 of 19 told us they had to
catch a bus to the Black Sea to pick fruit. Three other big
girls were in tears about staying behind. Left with very few
kids. Played Frisbee and printed pictures of them. Elsa
tracked down the girls and made them happy with Ellen's bracelets.
Nastya followed me to the bus. Almost cried about saying
good-bye. Clung. Waved. Blew kisses. Got
Nastya's address.

November Update:
Now Nastya and I email back and forth with the help
of her teacher who knows English.
Elsa has also heard from one of her "sad girls" at
this camp. |
